Rubén Reséndiz was born in México City on January 12, 1943. When he was 17 years old, he moved to Guanajuato, Gto. Guanajuato is a beautiful colonial and romantic city located near Central México. Guanajuato is also the hometown of Mexican master muralist Diego Rivera. Guanajuato's natural beauty has a large influence on Reséndiz' work. The artist studied his craft at "La Escuela de Artes Plásticas de la Universidad de Guanajuato". He decided to specialize in watercolor techniques. His natural talent, ability, and great sense of perspective soon converted him into one of the most popular artists in México. Reséndiz' paintings have been defined as "astounding" and full of character. Only a few artists have achieved the perfection of perspective, composition, light and shadows, architecture, and charm as in the works of this incredible artist. For forty-five years, Rubén Reséndiz has captured the beautiful natural scenery of Guanajuato and several other incredible buildings of the traditional Old México. Reséndiz' magical talent has captured time within his paintings in a world that is in continuous evolution. Six years ago, Reséndiz decided to create a unique technique through the medium of the watercolor techniques. Using a combination of only two colors, Reséndiz gives life, character, and incredible views to his paintings. Canapo Art Gallery has recognized the uniqueness of the art by this featured artist. It is a great honor to support Rubén Reséndiz in his venture in the United States. Rubén Reséndiz is receiving the recognition he deserves for his incredible talent, and we are proud to have his art work presented in our Gallery.
